Medical Education Information Center (MEdIC) - 1995
In 1995, Norman Nolasco and Jason Nolasco designed and launched MEdIC, a site sponsored by the University of Texas Health Science Center to promote Continuing Medical Education (CME). The same design and format is still in use today, almost 8 years later. http://medic.med.uth.tmc.edu
When Fortune Magazine's Most Admired Health Care Company, WellPoint (NYSE: WLP) sought to create the nation's leading telemedicine program, they faced a problem. Never before had a major telemedicine program been created with a fully automated scheduling system. WellPoint realized that in order to effectively schedule appointments between hundreds of sites in the United States and the Caribbean, a solution had to be found that would allow the scheduling to be done over the Internet in real-time at low cost. Advarion developed an online patient management system that is in use by WellPoint and the US Navy today.
