Advarion Incorporated Founder Receives
"2009 Outstanding Young Texan" Award

Norman Nolasco, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Advarion Incorporated, has been named one of the 2009 Five Outstanding Young Texans (FOYT) by the Texas Jaycees. Mr. Nolasco was awarded this honor by the Texas Junior Chamber of Commerce based on his professional and community accomplishments in Texas.

Advarion Incorporated is a Houston-based technology firm launched in 1997. Since Advarionís inception, Norman has focused on helping businesses, municipalities, charitable organizations and educational institutions use technology to operate more efficiently.

Throughout his career, Norman has donated his time and experience to causes that address the needs of youth and neighborhoods. He is actively involved with several educational programs and charities.

Commercially, Advarionís largest clients include organizations such as the Houston Airport System, Kelsey-Seybold Clinics, Harris County, Hewlett Packard, Saturn Corporation, and the University of Texas.

Norman has provided websites, custom software development, and Internet services to over 70 local political campaigns and legislative issue movements. One successful legislative campaign in particular collected over 40,000 petitions and saved Houston area churches and schools an estimated $41 million annually.

For his work on a patent-pending educational software suite, Norman was awarded the Rice Alliance Technology & Entrepreneurship Scholarship (2002). He received the 2009 Award of Excellence from the Galleria Chamber of Commerce for his contributions to the Galleria area business community. In 2008, he became the CTO of SSL Corporation, a Houston-based eCommerce security firm.

Norman is a Chemical Engineering graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Galleria Chamber of Commerce and the Fire Fighters Foundation of Houston. He also serves on the Advisory Committee for Yates High School of Communications.

He is also a recent recipient of the 2009 Five Outstanding Young Houstonians Award, presented by the Houston Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Nolasco will receive this honor during an awards ceremony at the Texas Junior Chamber State Convention on August 8, 2009 at the Marriott Town Square in Sugar Land, Texas.
